About
The same team,
start to finish
Major Cooling is an air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration business working across Hampshire and the surrounding counties, on everything from a single split in a bedroom to a full commercial first fix.
01
The team that quotes
is the team that fits
Most cooling companies send a salesperson to survey, a subcontractor to install and a different engineer again when something goes wrong. Details get lost at every handover, and the person who made the promise is never the company holding the drill.
Major Cooling works the other way round. Every engineer on your job is ours. The one who surveys the property stays with it through design, installation and commissioning, and it is the same team that comes back to service it. If something is not right, there is one number to call and no one to point at.

How we work
Sized, not guessed
Equipment selected against the actual heat load — glazing, orientation, insulation and occupancy — rather than picked by room size alone.
Planned early
On new builds and refurbishments the routes are agreed before ceilings close. Retro-fitting a duct into a finished building is always the expensive way round.
F-Gas registered
Refrigerant handled, logged and leak-checked to the standard the regulations require, with the records to match.
Alongside other trades
Used to working to a programme with plasterers, joiners, electricians and main contractors on high-specification sites.
Commissioned properly
Systems pressure-tested, evacuated, charged and run on both heating and cooling before anyone calls the job finished.
Serviced afterwards
Planned maintenance that keeps filters clean, drains clear and manufacturer warranties valid for the life of the equipment.

Lewis Major
Founder / Head Engineer
Major Cooling was set up to do the work properly and be reachable afterwards. Every engineer is directly employed — no subcontracted crews. If you want to talk through a job, you will get an engineer on the phone, usually Lewis.
